Laura Mars is the Articling Student at Gratl & Company. She earned her J.D. at the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia in 2021, where she graduated with a specialization in Aboriginal Law. While in law school, Laura spent a semester as a student clinician at the Indigenous Community Legal Clinic in Vancouver’s Downtown East Side, providing legal services to the Indigenous community.
Laura represented Team UBC in the 2021 Kawaskimhon Aboriginal Law Moot. In her final year of law school, Laura was a Research Assistant to Professor Mary Ellen Turpel-Lafond. Laura has over a decade of experience working with marginalized individuals and brings a critical eye and unrelenting passion for justice into her developing legal career. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Indigenous Studies and Women’s Studies.
